Message from Scott
First of all, I want to express my sincere appreciation and thanks for your support and vote of confidence in returning me as your representative to the House of Commons. I am humbled and will be forever grateful for your support. I commit to continue working hard on your behalf and making constituency work my priority.
An election is never won solely because of a candidate. It takes hard work and commitment from a well functioning campaign team and supporters to make things happen. During the 2011election, I was privileged to have lots of help from all over the Riding. Many, for their first time, got involved and worked daily to ensure signs were up, support was identified and made sure we were ready for election day.
I’m very proud to return to the House of Commons and represent the Riding of Avalon. I was also pleased for the Leader to have confidence in me and appoint me as Critic for Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics. I truly believe that my constituents, and all Canadians, want their representatives and government to be open and accountable.
While it’s been a busy time on the political scene, we’ve also been busy in our personal lives. On June 6th, 2011 Susan and I we’re blessed with the birth of our son, “Malcolm Mosher Andrews”. This has been an exciting time and we are all doing very well. Few sleepless nights, but it is all worth it!
We’ve been out and about with Malcolm attending many of your festivals and events. We really appreciate all the congratulatory messages and the well wishes sent to Susan, Malcolm and I. Thanks again and we hope to see you real soon!
